Who are you?

Who are you? It depends who you are. It gets harder to answer as you get older, because you have many different incarnations of yourself over the course of your life.

I feel at this present time in my life, the answer is a simple: *my full name* and what I am doing. But, does my work really define me? Do I want people to think of me as my job? I need to start a career. I really dislike this question. It is just as bad as “What do you do for fun” I struggle at this question, in writing I can provide you lists of things I do for fun. But on the spot I get flustered and stand around and can never come up with even one answer. Sometimes I provide a simple sound like uh.

We have, as human beings, a storytelling problem. We’re a bit too quick to come up with explanations for things we don’t really have an explanation for. – Malcolm Gladwell
